If you’ve done life drawing for years or have never tried it but always wanted to, our popular Thursday night sessions at the Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery are ideal for you.

Every Thursday we have a nude male or female model for you to draw or paint. The evening lasts for two hours, from 7-9pm, with a short break in the middle for you to buy a tea or coffee.

First Thursday every month – The first hour is given over to short poses. The second hour is one pose.

Second Thursday every month – We start off with a couple of short poses, then we have a 35-minute pose before the break. The second hour is one pose.

Third and Fourth Thursdays every month – We have one long pose throughout the two hour session.

Each session is untutored, so you’re free to work in your own way and use whatever materials you have brought along with you. We have lots of easels, chairs and boards for you to use. These evenings are very relaxed and full of people of all ages and abilities, so no one need feel intimidated.

The cost for members is currently £6 per session and there’s no need to book ahead. If you’re not a member of the Stockport Art Guild yet, you’re still welcome to come along and try one of our sessions before joining the guild.
