PROGRAMME FOR SATURDAY MORNINGS AT THE GALLERY.

JANUARY 25TH – STILL LIFE

Musical Instruments.

FEBRUARY 8TH – WINTER TREE/S

Take a photo of a tree and bring along to the session.  This will be a recurring theme to make a painting of the same tree/s during the 4 seasons.  Use any medium you are comfortable with.

It could be a group of trees or a distinctive individual tree. Plan it as part of an interesting composition.

FEBRUARY 15 – DETAIL FROM A PAINTING

Choose a composition, from which you can isolate a section to make a separate painting.

It could be a picture that you have painted or a famous artist’s work.  You could use the detail as it is, or you could develop it into a separate and different piece.

MARCH 7TH – STILL LIFE “GLASS”

Wine glasses, bottles, jars, anything made of glass – clear or coloured.  Please bring something along to the session to compose the still life.

MARCH 14TH – MODEL

A model will be booked.  This will incur a small cost to cover the model’s fee.

APRIL 18TH – USING BRUSHO

A still life will be set up with fruit and vegetables.  We have Brusho for you to use

but if you really don’t like the medium, perhaps work in pastel.

APRIL 25TH – SPRING TREE/S

You need a photo of (preferably the same) a tree which you painted in winter,

showing the differences (hopefully) of the spring colours.

MAY 9TH – PORTRAITS/FIGURE

Taking it in turns to sit for the group (15 minutes) use any medium.  You could bring props to make the pose different – a hat, a glass, a book etc.
