Portraiture

If you’re a budding artist who would like to try portrait drawing or a more experienced artist who wants to stretch yourself, then our Saturday morning portrait sessions at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery are perfect for you.
Every Saturday, we have a clothed model for you to draw or paint.

The session lasts for two hours with a short break in the middle for you to buy a tea or coffee.

Each session is untutored, so you’re free to work in your own way and use whatever materials you have brought along with you. We have lots of easels, chairs and boards for you to use.

These morning sessions are very relaxed and full of people of all ages and abilities, so no one need feel intimidated.

If you’re not a member of the Stockport Art Guild yet, you’re still welcome to come along and try one of our sessions before joining the guild.
